A Little Spoiled??

So last Sunday we decided to go through the kids dressers and closets and take out the things that are too small and to switch over from summer to winter. We got rid of about 5 garbage bags of stuff for rummage and this is what we have left to put in totes for the attic. I am not really sure where all this stuff fit in their rooms but I am sure glad to have it put away and organized!!

Grass...Done...Finally.

Hopefully this will be the last time that we have to plant grass at this place. It has been a ton of work because we did it the cheap way. Get a TRUCKLOAD of dirt and slowly spread it over our yard. Wheelbarrow by wheelbarrow. Ryan did most of the work but I think I chipped in a lot as well. I was on raking duty the first weekend and the on the second weekend I was in charge of shoveling. The pile doesn't look very big, but trust me it took FOR.EV.ER. I am just super glad it is done.

At the beginning of the day...
One half almost done...Dirt down, just need to spread the grass seed and hay.Front Yard Done!!
We did the back yard the second weekend but I don't have any pictures of that right now. I will get some updated ones soon because the ground is already turning green!

Troublemakers....

Look at these two! Just turn your head and they are into something :) Here is a little progress on our kitchen. Slowly but surely...it will be done someday! At least they stay out of the cupboards now that they are full. It might also be that there are no knobs on them so they can't get them open either!

3 days and about 500 dollars later...

We have a swing set. Well actually it is more like a playground if you ask me. It was a lot of work and I am kinda shocked that we got it all done in one weekend but here it is --
She sure does love it--
She does too :) --Side views--Awnley on the weird ball swing --Ellie has to check everything out - that is as close to the back edge as Awnley would get up there, I think she may take after her Dad.
Awnley heading down the tube slide-Awnley getting muddy on the tire swing (I washed everything down when we were done playing tonight)Picnic table - it is a little high, we may have to lower it so they can actually get on it.
From up on our deck--We got it all pressured washed but we are just waiting on finding some stain on clearance to finish it up. We may also add a trapeze bar off to one side and get a double swing instead of the ball but we will see. I am so glad we have this done.

Here are some before and during pictures...

Aren't Saturdays Fun???

Since there is so much free time in the day, I think the day decided to turn your once 1-2 hour project into an all day affair. We were trying to move Awnley and Ellie's new swingset into our back yard and the truck and trailer ended up getting stuck. Although we finally did get it out there were a few casualties along the way...

Our backyard (aka the weeds) - not so badMy shoe (from trying to push the truck out) - probably not my smartest idea to wear flip flops.Ryan's wallet (ouch that one hurt)And last but certainly not least - Ryan's Ego. :) - Superman can't do everything you know. Now onto getting the ground level and the playhouse set up. Hopefully this doesn't take all year.
